Launch of the Africa Day/Week Celebrations (Mauritius) 2018

Africa Day is the annual commemoration of the foundation of the Organisation of African Unity (OAU) on May 25, 1963. Africa Day is also known as the African Liberation Day and it is celebrated all across the African continent and many parts of the world.

The Civil Society & Diaspora Directorate (CIDO) and the Economic, Social & Cultural Council (ECOSOCC) of the African Union are officially kick-starting a series of activities to commemorate the Africa Day on 19th May 2018 with a Symposium on “Winning the Fight against Corruption: A Sustainable Path to Africa’s Transformation” in Mauritius.
